Honey!! Do I Look fat???

                         -Fat girl Tales!! 🙄🤪 🙄🤪

Wondering why this title?? Well I am sure all the men/partners out there, keep getting this question all the time and are flustered to answer. Letting you in on a secret - The answer is always “NO”, wise men already know it and those who don't, well it's never too late to get your answers right 😉

It is not as simple a question as most men think. It comes from a deeper, complex emotional turmoil we feel constantly. The funniest part of this self sabotage is, it's only observed in women. Body image issues impact mentally and have a ripple effect on everything else in our lives.

Let's be honest, we have given this "looking fat" thing more importance than it deserves. Trust me, I know ...coz I am one of you, actually not just one of you, I am that person who tries at least five dresses before she steps out even if it's just to meet her best friend and still feels bad when she doesn't look as thin as she had hoped in the pictures 💔( well in any angle)😪 and consistently believe someone else looks thinner and glamorous.

The irony of this situation is, if you actually peep into the brains of that petite looking gal you adore, you would be surprised to find the same insecurities you hold maybe in a different form. Try it out, go out and have a one on one with the perfect looking gal in your life and see what you find.

At times, my sensible and logical brain asks the stupid and insecure side of me "Why this constant worry to look thin? You are smart and intelligent, good at what you do then why so uncomfortable in your own skin? And the answer is I just want to look pretty.

But by whose definition??

This question needs to be answered by every single one of us. We are who we are and should own it.

Let us redefine beauty and its standards. Beauty should be more about how healthy you are and how you carry yourself. Being fit and healthy is the way to live. Why not divert all our attention and energy to being more healthier than fairer or thinner or some specific body measurement.
In the process, do realize neither all thin people are healthy nor all plus size are lazy.
Each body is different and has its own set of rules on which it functions.

It is important we recognise this difference and receive everyone with the same respect you would wish for yourself.

To all my plus size women, let us start working towards a healthier and beautiful tomorrow. Am sharing a few habits that work for me in building a healthier body and mind.

Pro Tips:

Drink Drink and get drunk on water 😛: Water is the easiest and most powerful tool for a beautiful body and mind. Drink as much water as possible. Days I don’t feel like drinking water, I add lemon, mint or ginger to add flavor. You can opt for buttermilk or coconut water as well. You can see drastic changes in your energy levels.

Hop and Pop: Walking has been my go to thing recently. I usually tune to podcasts and spend at least one hour walking and this is my time of the day where it’s only me and my thoughts. Helps me clear my head while burning some caloriesss . Be the Cinderella of your life and pick your right shoes for better workouts😜

If you love to dance, go for it. Find your thing, start slow but be consistent.

Dress up: Anyone can look amazing if you find your style and the right silhouette.  Feeling good about yourself is key to looking pretty. Find what suits you, experiment and be original. We have some amazing plus size influencers on social media to steal some ideas from. Dress the way you would admire others.

Food: I know, I know, the most difficult thing to quit. Like I said earlier, start slow by including a fruit and one salad every day and add more as you get comfortable.

Whatever said and done, any plan to work and show results, you need to sit and design your own regime and follow it through.

You do you gal !!! 😀
